Video Editor/Motion Designer — Job Description

OBJECTIVE of VIDEO EDITOR/MOTION DESIGNER
This position reports to the Content Studio Lead within the internal agency and delivers video and motion graphics that help our internal clients and the Cigna Enterprise tell stories in an authentic and impactful way across all platforms. Use industry standards combined with the latest trends, technology and insights to craft work that is relevant across channels, compelling and on brand. Also, make people cry tears of joy whenever possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in partnership with account/project management, creative and content teams to conceive, create, and deliver videos and motion graphics that push our business forward
Build and maintain exacting creative and production standards, and strive for flawless execution
Collaborate efficiently with producers, other editors and the rest of the Content Studio team to thoughtfully solve problems and manage workflow
Offer, articulate and defend conceptual and creative ideas
Take responsibility and accountability for the quality of your work
Commit to and exemplify our agency values (Intrinsically Motivated + Resourceful, Amazing + Awesome, Inspired + Enlightened, Passionate + Curious, Smart + Constructively Dissatisfied, Disciplined + Resilient)
QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience as an editor and motion designer at an agency or production house
Driven, proactive and curious with superior taste and creative instincts, as well as the desire to ALWAYS learn more
Mastery of tools (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), but not just a button pusher
Ability to build a story with stock, original video, graphics and/or a combination of all
Solid eye for design
An understanding of end-to-end video production process
Bonus points for experience mixing audio and/or doing sound design, but not required
Extra bonus points for Cinema4D experience, but not required
An excellent communicator with a positive attitude and stellar listening and problem-solving skills
Ability to respond quickly and deliver professionally in a fast-paced environment – often with tight deadlines
Firm belief in the motto, “Fix it in Pre!”
This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
